Product Of The Week

Just brought this amazingy amazingly amazing product!!

This eyebrow palette by Collection is fantastic and only £3.99 (super cheap and good). :)

It comes with an angled brush which is great for applying the powder and a clear brow mascara to keep your eyebrows in place for the day. The brow mascara also helps to keep the colour on which is good when you are out all day - like at work or school.

It includes three coloured powders: a darker brown, medium brown and a paler skin kind of powder that I use to highlight underneath my eyebrows to define them.

Overall I love it. :)

Product Of The Week

This eye shadow pallet by MUA is most definitely my favourite product right now.

This particular one is called 'Heaven and Earth' and is only £4 for a pallet containing 12 shimmery colours. Who else agrees that this is amazing?

It has some really nice and different colours. My favourite is a shimmery bronze/gold colour. It is subtle but makes your eyes pop. I use it with a darker brown to highlight my eye in the creases and outside corners.

The quality of this product is just as good as more expensive high street brands and it even comes with its own double ended brush.

Definitely a worth while, cheap and satisfying purchase!! :)

My Top Facial Washes

Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser
The Body Shop - Aloe Gentle Facial Wash
Simple - Moisturizing Facial Wash

The Hot Cloth Cleanser by Liz Earle is my favourite facial wash by far! It smells really nice and makes your skin soft straight away after use! It definitely helps to get rid of dryness and dead skin cells.

I also like The Body Shops facial wash. It smells similar to the Liz Earle one and it more mousey and foamy (whereas the Liz Earle one is more creamy). It is cheaper than the Hot Cloth Cleanser and is just a very nice product. I don't think it helps with dryness as much as the Liz Earle one though.

The Simple facial wash is very moisturising and is more of a gel. It is very softening and helps with dryness. It is cheaper than the other two and so is just really good for everyday use. :)

H&M lipsticks: not impressed

Lipstick in the shade 'Up all night'
Matte lipstick in the shade 'Landinski'

The red lipstick is a beautiful, vibrant red and I love the colour but I'm not really impressed. It is quite drying to wear and comes off really easily, so you have red lipstick around the edges of your lips but not in the middle (kind of a strange look hmm).

The purple matte lipstick is a lot better and lasts a bit longer but is still not great. I really like the dark colour of it and it doesn't dry your lips out as much as the normal lipstick but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone...

Overall I'm not impressed with H&M lipsticks, however I really like their nail varnishes. They're cheap, come in great colours and don't chip easily... :)

Review: Clinique

Exfoliating face scrub
Nail varnishes
City block - SPF 40
Clinique almost lipstick collection
Dramatically different moisturising lotion

Clinique is quite an expensive range and often viewed as the range for a certain type of 'lady' who has a bit more money - if you know what I mean. ;)

It isn't cheap but definitely worth the price in my opinion.

My favourite product from this brand is the moisturising lotion. I apply it twice a day, morning and night, and it honestly gets rid of my dryness. It's worth it!!

I also like the super city block. It's like a BB cream and is covering and comes in different shades. It covers quite well for a 'non-foundation' and has a high SPF in it, which is great in the Summer months. You can get lower SPF's as well if you still want to get a tan. It lasts quite a while but not ages.

The nail varnish is fabby dabby ;) !! You can get some gorgeous shades and my favourite colour is kind of a middly to light pink colour called "call me buff". It's long wearing and doesn't chip easily. It's nice and glossy and I don't think it's that bad for £12.

The scrub I apply once a week to my skin and it really does help with my skins overall appearance. It brightens it up and gets rid of dead skin cells and helps with spots. :)

The 'almost lipstick' collection is great. It comes in a range of shades - darker, deeper colours ad more fun, pop kind of colours and is very moisturising. I really want to try one of their 'chubby sticks'. I've heard great reviews.

Overall, Clinique is amazing but not in everyone's budget.

How To: have a happy day!

I think it's important that we try to have a good day and make the most of it. Depression is a growing issue and I think it is 100% super important that we all smile.

Here are some of my ideas on how you can make sure you have a lovely day:

  • Listen to lots of upbeat music.

  • Try and compliment three people a day.  I know it might be difficult for some people ;) but you'll be happy when you know you've managed to put a smile on somebody's face. A compliment can in fact make someone's entire day.

  • Smile at strangers! When they smile back, you'll feel great. You could even say good morning/afternoon...

  • Slow down and take your time. Rushing through everything can make you feel quite stressed. Just sit back for a second and think.

  • Say Thank-you. It's simple but a good one...

  • Sing loudly in the shower in the morning. It will brighten your day. :)

Autumn: why is it my favourite season?

My friend took this beautiful picture at the firework display we went to ^

My sparkler ^

Who loves bonfire night? The breeze of winter and the crunching of the orange Autumn leaves makes me warm inside. Yummm... Speaking of warm, a good hot chocolate with miny, puffy marshmallows is always a scrummy Autumn drink to have when you've just got back from a walk in the nippy air. I do love family walks! Chatting and smiling with my parents and brother as we walk under bare trees is gorgeous!

What else do I love about Autumn? The fire in our Living Room!! It's so beautiful and I love it when you can get cosy up on the sofa with a nice, fluffy blanket and put your favourite movies and Christmas films on in the run up to Christmas (my choice would be Disney films of course!;) ).

Big sweaters are definitely a fashion favourite when it comes to this season! I love baggy sweaters with long sleeves and I also am a fan of checked, long scarfs and huge coats with fluffy hoods. My favourite colours for nail painting would be deep reds and purples and some darker oranger colours (I really am liking 'Sinful Colours' nail varnish collection which they sell cheaply in boots). Deep red lipsticks are also a beauty must have for the best season of the year;). Ooooo!

My Top Liz Earle Products

Cleanse and polish - hot cloth cleanser
Instant boost skin tonic
Eyebright - soothing eye lotion
Moisturiser - dry/sensitive
Sheer lip gloss - 07 honey suckle

I find that Liz Earle does wonders to my skin. I would class my skin as quite dry and sensitive (I'm no expert and haven't been to a dermatologist but that's just my guess) and the moisturiser definitely helps get rid of dryness. The first four products smell amazing and are personally my favourite skin care products, in terms of using them in my daily routine. They are really good for all skin types and also make a nice gift. On the Liz Earle website, they also do some nice little gifts that you could give to you bessies or Mum for Christmas. Check out the website: Liz Earle.

The Liz Earle sheer lip gloss is also really good. It's very shiny and has a sparkly kind of hint to it. My favourite shade at the moment is definitely 07 Honey Suckle. They have quite a few, nice deeper shades that I might try out for Christmas.

Frizz Ease Moisture Barrier Hairspray

My opinions on this hairspray? It's very sticky... It's a very good, strong holding hairspray that does keep your hair in place but it is very, very sticky. It says that it gets rid of frizz and I think it does apart from the hair that's on your scalp (if that makes sense). It holds well but I will probably try out a new hairspray next time I need to get one...

Having said that, the Dream Curl spray by the same brand is amazing. If your hair goes quite static or fluffy when you brush it, out, just spray in the Dream Curl spray and it turns the mad hair into really nice curls. How does it work? I don't know but its a good price and works amazingly. You can pick it up from boots.

Soap and Glory: The Soapremes

Hey! Okay guys so this is my first post on my new blog...

The Soapremes range by Soap&Glory smells absolutely amazing and is of a really good quality. So I first got this range of products as a gift for Christmas last year and have been using it ever since. It's quite a popular high street brand with teens and is priced (what I'd consider) quite low for its quality and quantity. Definitely worth a purchase! They sell it in supermarkets and high street stores like Boots.

I'm also hoping to try out their makeup soon as I've heard really great things about their makeup products!
